A little poem goes a long way

A unique way to get your message across by sharing a bit of culture with a human touch.

Allow technology and old-fashion poetry to meet and get your audience involved! Many people give away flyers while doing street marketing for their businesses, projects or cause; while many rushing pedestrians receive these information, take a quick glance at the publicity and move on. Truth is, when doing street marketing; you have to stand out, allowing your message to stay in the customers mind. We did a little ‘street-marketing experiment ’ in Sao Paulo and this is what we learned:

1.      Make sure you have a direct and unique message for the costumer:
Aside from your marketing message, you should add a personal touch to your flyers, like a direct question, a greeting or even a hand-written poem.

2.      Get your target involved: We wrote poems and quotes in different languages on the back of our flyers, and we added a sticker inviting the reader to visit our Facebook page and write a poem or quote they liked, in exchange for one hour of our service. This is when technology and a little old-fashion poetry met and this is when we realized that getting people involved and inspired is far better than just trying to sell an idea.

3.      Be creative: We live in a world full of information, technology and innovation. As a business, trying to stand out from the crowd is the main objective. Use your creativity to reach out to the public in a different way. In our case, our personalized messages gave a lot of smiles and a little break from the hectic Sao Paulo life, and we realized that yes, a little poetry goes a long way!
